Rebecca Anne Roach, 68, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home with family by her side. She was born on July 13, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harold Smith and Jacqueline (Cox) Brown.
Rebecca grew up in the Sacred Heart neighborhood and was proud to have graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School. She retired from General Motors after 32 years of service and loved retirement, regularly reminding us that every day was Friday for her. Rebecca enjoyed traveling, photography, watching NASCAR, going to races, and making memories with family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her children, Tracie (Michael) McCurry and Eric (Karie) Roach; siblings, Roberta (Rick) Byrington, Ramona Davis, Roanna (Wayne) Moore, Leonard Smith, Rachelle “Chelle” (Adam) Ziegler and Esther (Jay) Barton; and grandson, Wyatt Langdon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 Union Street, Indianapolis, with Fr. Guy Roberts presiding. Friends may call one hour prior to Mass starting at 10 a.m.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
