Rev. John B. Bell

Rev. John B. Bell, 58, Marion, passed away at Marion General Hospital on Mar 13, 2022. John was born Dec 12, 1963 to John W. Bell Jr and Mary (Baker) Bell and raised in Dayton, TN.  A graduate from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1992, John was a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He first worked at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Dayton, TN and spent most of his career serving the families at Casey Lloyd Funeral Home in Marion and Silver Lake, IN. 

In addition to his calling as a funeral director, Rev. Bell shared his Christian faith and passion for ministry by helping and preaching at multiple churches in Tennessee and Indiana. He was a proud member of Christ Temple Church in Marion, IN, whose pastor and congregation were dear to his heart.  

John was preceded in death by his father and sister, Ann (Bell) Riley. He is survived by his mother, Mary Bell and brother, Barnwell Bell, both of Dayton, TN, his church family and host of dear friends who comprised his chosen family.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 6:00 pm; funeral services to follow at 6:00 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Christ Temple Church at 1401 S. Adams St., Marion, IN 46952. Services will be conducted by Bishop David H. Birchett, Pastor. Burial will be at Buttram Cemetery in Dayton, TN. Memorials can be made to Christ Temple Church.
