Robert Dowden Obituary

Robert Paul Dowden 38, passed away on December 28, 2024, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born on April 28, 1986, to David Lee and Cristina Ann (Soule) Dowden in Montpelier, OH. After completing high school, he then served in the US Army from 2005-2008.  To all those who were close to him, Rob was the life of the party whenever he entered the room, and lived to make those around him smile. A man who had a heart that was open to all, and always had everyone’s back.

He was the proud owner of Grass-N-Stuff which provided exceptional lawn care service as well as snow removal, clean ups, and cutting grass. Rob was a man who was a jack of all trades and always put in an honest day of hard work to make a difference in people’s lives. He was dedicated and committed to living each day to the fullest and taking in all the great moments that were in front of him.

He also took great pride in riding his Harley-Davidson and putting it towards a good cause such as participating in the 9/11 Memorial Ride, Kammy’s Kause Ride for children with 4P syndrome, and with many other VFW rides to raise funds. He also got such a thrill out of going to Slamology events to see many different car shows and other vehicles that were being showcased.

A down to earth guy who was never afraid to let his hair down, Rob would always make it a point to be there for anyone who needed help and support. He was also one who was full of passion and had the kindest heart. He truly was our hero.

He was blunt in his fun-loving way, and one had to take Rob with a grain of salt. Once you got to know him, he was the most loyal and trusted person that you could depend upon for anything. He will be so missed for his unique spirit and having the kindest heart that touched the world in a special way.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cristina Ann Soule Lovejoy.

He is survived by his father and stepmother David Lee and Laura Dowden; daughter, Leah Graves, brother David Dowden, and half-brother Branddan Dowden, his four dogs Dexter, Dusty, Gypsy, and Ash, along with many dear friends and close companions.
