Robert “Rob” Alan Cobb, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was born on October 14, 1964, in Stuart, Florida, to the late R.S. “Sam” and Dorothy Marie (Shelton) Cobb.
Rob attended Perry Meridian High School and went on to work for Rolls Royce for 28 years prior to retirement in 2023. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 933. Rob was a car enthusiast, enjoyed auto racing and was a member of the G.T.O.A.A. He had a heart of gold, liked everyone and would help anyone in need. He will be most remembered for the love he had for his family and friends. He will be truly missed.
Survivors include his life partner of 38 years, Ronda Wilson; daughters, Jessica M. Cobb and Rachael A. Cobb; son, Joshua Welch; brother, Tom (Diane) Cobb; grandchildren, Julio, Xavier, Bryan, Damian, Sergio, Khristian, Samuel and Alana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, William Beattly, Charles “Chuck” Beatty and Samara M. Cobb.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, February 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service at 5 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Lee officiating. Cremation will follow services.
