Sandra L. (Woolbright) Stevens

SandraLu “Sandy” Stevens, 86, passed away on February 15, 2023 at her Indianapolis home. The daughter of the late  Fred H. and Viola M. Knight Woolbright, Sandy was born at home on the westside of Indianapolis on February 14, 1937.

For 17 years, retiring in 1992, she worked as an assembler for Bryant Heating and Cooling.

Sandy liked to work jigsaw puzzles. She worked to paint, especially doing portraits. Sandy and her late husband Robert like to travel to Kentucky and often would make the trip in their old school bus. She took pleasure in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by sons, William T. Nunn, Richard G. Nunn, Monte R. Nunn and Davey H. Nunn; daughters, Janet S. Barker, Viola L. Nunn, Melanie S. Anderson and Edie M. Courtney; brothers, Rick Woolbright and Denny Woolbright; sisters, Connie Kayler, Minnie Brandenburg and Beverly Casteel; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Stevens, whom she married on August 9, 1980; brothers, Freddie Woolbright and Kenneth Woolbright; and sisters, Brenda Harper, Ginger Turner, Janie Llewellyn and Myra Reed.

Friends may call from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. p.m. on February 21, 2023 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Entombment will follow services at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
