Stanley Wayne Tabor, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born on March 22, 1933, in Indianapolis, to the late Lawrence Lemule and Edith Belle (Thompson) Tabor.
Stanley drove truck for Briggs Transport for over 40 years. He loved his cabin at Lake Graybrooke and enjoyed fishing, playing cards camping and going to the casino.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Geraldine (Woodall) Tabor; son, David Tabor; siblings, Lawrence Tabor, Jr., Johnny Tabor, Joann Boicourt and Beverly Collins; son-in-law, Charlie Henderson; and daughter-in-law, Carla Tabor.
Survivors include his children, Vicki Henderson, Donald (Liz) Tabor, Tommy Tabor and Ronald Tabor; siblings, Eddie Tabor, Edith Procter, Charlie Tabor and Sandy Edmiston; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with additional visitation on Monday, October 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. A service celebrating Stanley’s life will follow visitation on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in New Crown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Concord Neighborhood Center; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
