Stephanie “Tuffy” Kay Bardos, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis on December 19, 1948, to the late Stephen and Wanda (Capehart) Bardos.
Tuffy was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1966, and went on to work for Indiana Bell (AT&T) in Human Resources until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and an avid collector of Precious Moments. Tuffy will be most remembered as a loving aunt, devoted friend and giving soul.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Theresa (Tony) Pruitt, Solomon (Rachel) Baase, Crissy Baase, Brian (Eric) Baase, Stephen (Kelli) Baase and Amanda (Michael) Hubenthal; great-nieces and nephews, Carter, Traft, Alaina, Revv, Eastyn and Maelyn Baase. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Libby Bardos, Marilyn Csetenyi, Rebecca Baase and Stephen Bardos.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 12 noon in Holy Cross/St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2446 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, with Fr. Ralph Parthie, O.S.B. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1201 E. Maryland St., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
