Susan Lynn (McClara) Wethington

Susan Lynn (McClara) Wethington, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. The daughter of Sandra Kay Pasch Underwood and the late Danny Gene McClara, Susan was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1964 in Beech Grove, Indiana.

Susan was a self-employed contractor. She did subcontracting work for several local companies. A woman of Christian faith, she enjoyed going to the cabin in Brown County, Indiana, where she could take a couple of bottles of Coors Lite and enjoy a day of fishing. Nature was her thing – bird watching and going boating. Susan was a collector of all things Betty Boop. She received pleasure from spending time with her grandsons. And most of all, she liked to have fun and enjoyed a good party.

Susan is survived by her mother, Sandy K. Underwood of Indianapolis; sons, Brent Lee (Emilee Jones) Wethington, II and Zachary (Jessica Clements) Wethington both of Indianapolis; significant other, Michael Jay Pemberton of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Janae Pemberton of Indianapolis; sister, Dana Hornaday of Indianapolis; brothers, Rick Such of Indianapolis, Rob (Toni) McClara of Greenwood and Ryan McClara of Indianapolis; grandsons, Jaedin and Jaelee Lucas and Jayce and Bentlee Wethington; her ex-husband, Brent “Bub" Wethington, I of Indianapolis and her best friend for the past 40 years, Angie Bolante. In addition to her father, Susan was preceded in death by her step-father, James “Jim” Underwood.
