Terri Lynn Lambert

Terri Lynn Lambert, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 16, 2025.  She was born on January 27, 1962, in Indianapolis, to the late Charles A. and Patricia Lee (Rist) Hummel. 

Terri was a graduate of Harry E. Wood High School and went on to retire from Kroger where she was a floral and deli manager.  She was “fun loving” and a little “fire cracker.”  Terri loved music, dancing and outdoor activities.  She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, Steve, who passed away in 2018.  Terri will be remembered as someone who loved her family and a loyal and caring friend you could always count on.

Survivors include her brother, Gary (Melissa Martin) Hummel; step-son, Mark (Tara) Lambert; nieces and nephews, Brad Hummel, Alisha Renfro and Gary Lea (Brittany), Nathan, Nicole, Paityn, Kalynn and Elijah Hummel and Johnny (Shandi) Lambert; grandchildren, Chase, Justin, Jenna and Tatem Lambert; and her beloved cat, Booger.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Steven A. Lambert; her parents; and brothers, Buddy and Gary Hummel. 

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, January 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 Union St., with prayers being said at the funeral home prior to Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow Mass in Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Terri’s memory.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home and church.
