Thomas Wayne Jackson

Thomas Wayne Jackson, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021.  Born on Saturday, August 4, 1945 in Plymouth, Indiana, Thomas was the son of the late Russell Lee and Mary Eileen (Lucas) Jackson.

After graduating from Harry E. Wood High School, he earned his Culinary Degree from the same institution.  His career as a chef had him working at the Marriott, Wendy’s, The Huddle and Denney’s, which took him to many cities around the country opening new restaurants.  He loved his pets and was an animal lover.

Survivors include his children, Jennifer J. Jackson and Jaremey J. (Sheria Murrell) Jackson, both of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Jackson; sisters, Sandra Albano, Peggy Baker, Vickie White, Billie Jo Jackson and Debra (Mike) Alley.  In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his former wife, Deborah C. Tansy Crouch; brothers, Russel Jackson, Larry D. Jackson, Ben Jackson and Gary Jackson; and sister, Marcia Privratsky.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian Street, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Committal service and burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington Street, Lebanon, Indiana.
