Timothy C. Brown, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1947, in Indianapolis to the late Clifford V. and Betty Jane (Eckhart) Brown.
Tim graduated from Emmerich Manuel High School, Class of 1967. He spent 30 meaningful years working for Good Will Industries before continuing his career in the mail room at Fifth Third Bank, where he served with dedication for another 20 years. He was deeply loved and appreciated by his coworkers, who admired his reliability, warmth, and good humor. In a remarkable full‑circle moment, Tim retired exactly 50 years to the day after he first began his working life.
A devoted sports fan, Tim found joy in soccer and in cheering on his favorite teams—the Colts, Indy Eleven, and Indianapolis Indians. He was known for his kind and loving nature, and for giving the very best birthday cards, each one chosen with care and thoughtfulness. His gentle spirit and generous heart will be missed most especially by his family.
Survivors include his siblings, Terry (Steven) Worden and Michael (Peggy) Brown, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, December 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, with a service celebrating his life at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to Goodwill Industries. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at the Altenheim and Franciscan Hospice House for the great care provided to Tim.
