Timothy Owen Powell, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was born on November 30, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Owen and Charlotte (Hamon) Powell.
Tim served honorably in the United States Air Force after high school following in his father’s footsteps by joining the military. He was the world’s greatest salesperson and had the ability to make people laugh. Tim loved Harley Davidson, cars of all kinds and fishing. He was a leaded glass artisan and was in business for many years. One of his greatest passions in life was taking care of homeless veterans; one in three homeless people are honorably discharged veterans.
Survivors include his sons, Mitchell and Matthew Powell; siblings, Debby (Jay) Murphy, Cindy (Jerald) Miller and Ginine (Dave) Heithaus; and his former wife and mother of his children, Michelle Cummins.
He will be laid to rest in the Webster Cemetery in Webster, Indiana this spring. This announcement will be updated when it is scheduled and it is safe to hold a gathering again.
