Virginia Ann Brown, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. The daughter of the late William Carl and Ruth Mae Henson Wallace, Viginia was born Monday, December 17, 1945 in Oneida, Tennessee.
A homemaker, Virginia like to watch the tv soaps, especially The Young and the Restless. She would listen to county music – enjoying the music of Elvis Presley and Hank Williams. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family – children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her children, Jeremy D. (Donna) Brown, Steven W. (Jodi) Brown, Billy J. (Janie) Brown, Danny R. (Sue) Brown and Cheryl Ann Brown, all of Indianapolis; her brother, Robert D. Wallace; and sister, Rita Wallace; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse Brown and Eugene Brown; and siblings, James C. Wallace, Roy Wallace, Buddy Cooper, Billy Wallace, Isaac “Ikey” Wallace, Imogene Radigan, Lucille Waters, Louise Morgan and infant Rose Catherine Wallace.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, where family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
