Virginia Corso Obituary

Virginia Maxine Corso, 97, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.  She was born on January 11, 1928, in Stanford, Kentucky, to the late Dave and Allie (Shoopman) Payton. 

Virginia was a member of the Pentecostal Bread of Life Church.   

Gardening, staying busy with her rental properties, spending time with her family and church family.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Frint and George Corso, Jr.; sister, Jean Reckley; grandchildren, Tracy Frint (Scott), Danny Ray Keck (Missy), Carl (Ochie) Turpin, Patricia Gregory, Tosha Uebel (Ron) and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Corso, Sr.; and sisters, Rudell , Chilcie, Elisie, Josephine, Lois, Betty, brothers, Frebert, Charles, Jessie, Herlen, son Carl “Buddy” Turpin.

Friends and family will gather on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, with a service at 1 p.m.  Entombment will follow services in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
