William E. Gervasio passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on August 20, 1931 in Richmond, Indiana to Joseph and Theresa Gervasio. He graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1949. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in December, 1951, graduated from Ordnance Officers Candidate School in February, 1953 and served in Korea from 1953 until he was discharged in August, 1954. He graduated from Purdue University in 1958 from the School of Engineering and worked for several Engineering firms until he began Gervasio Engineering in 1965.
He was a founding partner in American Consulting Engineers, Inc (Now known as American Structurepoint Inc.) headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1966. He retired in 1987 and worked as a private engineer until retirement in 1998.
He is survived by one daughter, Jane Maria Gervasio of Indianapolis, two sons, David William Gervasio and his wife Tamara of Indianapolis and John Joseph Gervasio of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Joseph, Abigail and Samuel of Indianapolis; and one brother, Joseph A. Gervasio of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Theresa (Wathen) Louise Gervasio and one sister, Nancy Ann (Gervasio) Warmuth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to Mass starting at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Services are entrusted with arrangements.
