William Cooper McCullough, 80, Loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021in is home. He was born on April 7, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Oran Edward and Mildred Nann (Cooper) McCullough.
William graduated from Washington High School, class of 1958 and retired from the Star News. He was an electrician as well as an Asst. Purchasing Manager at Tube Processing. He was a member of the Evergreen Lodge No. 713, F and A.M. and may have transferred to Bargersville Lodge #679 and the Murat Shrine Temple. He loved to play cards, tell jokes, write poetry, sing and play guitar with his brothers especially during family get togethers.
Survivors include, his wife of 34 years, Marilyn “Sue” (Burns) McCullough; Peggy Estep (ex-wife), Anita (Barry) Ebert, Bill Terry McCullough, Christopher O. (Michelle) McCullough, Douglas (Lisa) Derringer, Kimberly (Scott) Clements. Siblings; Janice (McCullough) Gastineau, Doris (Bob) TeVault, Larry (Linda) McCullough, Loren” Steve” McCullough and Niece Christie (Monte) West; Grandchildren: Tyler and Sarah Clements; Andrew, Rebecca, Grace, Veronica Derringer; Christopher Ramey, Jessica Seffernick, Colin McCullough, Alayna Eiler, Peyton Lewis. Lifelong friends; Tom Mulrine, Dave Bailey, Bill Green, Gary Hesser.
William was preceded in death by his parents; Oran Edward McCullough and Mildred Nann (Cooper) McCullough and siblings: Alice Elaine McCullough, Frankie Nann Toole, Shirley Sue Hight, Oran E McCullough Jr., Duane Cooper McCullough, Kenneth McCullough; and son-in-law Barry Ebert.
