I had the great privilege of working with Dick at Marian University. He came at a time when Marian University was transitioning it's IT department. Dick was a kind and caring man who worked diligently with his staff to make sure Marian University's IT was outstanding. He always had a smile on his face, a kind word, and a ready laugh. May perpetual light shine upon.

We are very saddened by the loss of a great neighbor. We only knew you for 3 years, Mr. Feltman, but you were always welcoming and full of waves and smiles and will truly be missed. Our prayers are with the Feltman family.....

I am quite saddened to hear of this, and it is hard to imagine not being able to "run into" him again in life. I interacted frequently with Dick as a colleague at Lilly. I imagine this board will overflow with comments from other Lilly associates as Dick was highly thought of by everyone...and I mean "everyone". Universally respected for his knowledge, but more than this, for being just a great human being. Kind, considerate, thoughtful, solid. He will be missed.

Dear Diana and children,
Dick was part of my formation at St. Roch. He and other board members made me the principal I became. He was generous with his time and his advice---a true believer in Catholic education. He shared resources with me throughout my years in Uganda. Last summer was the last time I saw him. We were at St. Roch Church and he asked Fr. Tonino to bless him. We join our prayers to yours. You have our deepest sympathy.

Only met Grandpa twice but both occasions were impressionable as he was filled with life and laughter. I am sure his wake of love and influence is wide and strong but what a beautiful legacy he has left behind to carry on his energy. Will continue to pray for all of you, You now have a joyful intercessor with the heavenly hosts.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I didn't work for Dick during our years at Eli Lilly, we did interact on many occasions. It was my privilege to have known Dick. He always had that contagious smile, and a positive attitude.

Dick hired me into Lilly and was so instrumental in my early successes. I truly believe that I had no greater advocate at Lilly than Dick. I so fondly remember the late afternoons where I would walk into his office and we would "shoot the breeze". Sick was a wonderful influence in my life. I will miss him dearly.

Dick was a great person, Lilly colleague and an icon in the St. Roch parish family. His strength, kindness and caring for people set him apart in his professional and personal life. He also had a great sense of humor. Dick, you are going to be missed by so many around the globe and here in your community. Save us a seat at the grand table!!!!

If the measure of a man is the number of people he has touched, Dick is in good company right now. He was my mentor, boss, and friend. He helped me get my job at Lilly, and I eventually worked for Dick for 6 years there. We kept in touch over another 15+ years. My wife has heard many stories about the impact Dick had on me and my coworkers. He will always be remembered as someone who put people first, even when doing so cost him personally. Dick's actions matched his words, and that example of integrity set a high bar for many who knew him. His love for family and faith was constant in our conversations over the years. I am proud to have known him, and I will miss him very much.

Dick was one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. We spent many years together off and on at Lilly, starting way back in the 70's, where I probably cost him some of his hair, with my wild computer programming ideas. He was always kind, fair, and helpful to everyone, a rare always positive icon in the corporate world. This is such a sad loss. My thoughts are with his family, for he will certainly be fondly, but painfully missed.
