My neighbor. Quiet, strong. I wish I had known he was in WWII and could have asked him about it. He and Mildred were great neighbors. My condolences to his family.

We were so sorry to read Walt's obituary. My father, Frank J. Habig who founded Habig Garden Shops, spoke of their relationship often and Walt did occasionally call my Mom to see how she was doing after my Dad's death. Both these courageous men fought for our freedom in WWII. Their generation is constantly diminishing and is so missed! May your fondest memories bring you the strength to cope with Walt's passing. Many memories of this man. He was a hard working very honorable man, who let you know what he expected out of everyone. My heart goes out to my sister Joan Thuer who cared for her father-in-law without hesitation, because she loved his son so much. May God bless and keep this family safe in their time of troubles.
